Donald B. Muenk, M.D., F.A.C.S. is the founder and Director of Cataract and Eye Consultants of Michigan. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. A graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine, Dr. Muenk served his residency in Ophthalmology at the nationally renowned Kresge Eye Institute of Detroit. He received an additional advanced fellowship training at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Muenk is currently on the Board of Directors of the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS). He serves as the chairman of the Third Party Reimbursement Committee and Medicare Committee for the MSMS and the Michigan Ophthalmological Society. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Muenk is also a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and is a past President of the Macomb County Medical Society. Dr. Muenk is a past President of the Wayne State University Medical Alumni Association Board of Governors and a member of the Detroit Academy of Medicine.

Small incision cataract and lens implant surgery has been the focus of Dr. Muenk's practice for the past 30 years. He also performs laser surgery and manages glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and other ocular conditions.

Dr. Muenk is married with three children and enjoys golf,
tennis, kayaking and cycling.
